Pop Beauty Face Magnet and Lip Magnet Primer Reviews!

POP Beauty was kind enough to give me a couple of their products to try out, one being the Face Magnet Primer and the other being the Lip Magnet Lip Primer. First of all they sent them in the cutest POP Beauty bag.

First i'll start off with the--
Face Magnet Face Primer- This is hands down one of my favorite primers ever. My "Holy Grail" Primer is the Napoleon Perdis Auto-Pilot...but it's 50$. So I can't always just run to the store and grab it when I run out.

This primer is sold at Ulta, and as far as I can tell..I think it's just ULTA that carries it in the states, I don't believe Sephora does, but I could be wrong. I'm pretty sure, this line is based out the U.K. But this primer is just as good, if not, better then my Napoleon Perdis one and the price is light years better. It's 26.00, which is not bad at all for a high end primer. I know the Smashbox, Too faced, and I think Stila are around 35.

Pop Beauty says that this primer is supposed to "work as a magnet to lock in your face make-up all day," and I have to agree. It really works wonderfully at keeping your make up in place, and looking bright and beautiful all day, making your make up and skin look FLAWLESS.

I like this primers texture as well. I'm not a huge fan of your average silicone based primer. I don't "hate" them, but I prefer more of a lotion feel which this one and the Napoleon Perdis both are. It's thicker, but it's still light, and it soaks into your skin really quickly. It's not sticky, or something that will weigh you down and feel heavy on your face. I have really oily skin, so it didn't make me more oily, or shiny, or anything like that. It's water based and oil-free, and it does help out with oil-control. It also helps with redness, minimizing pores, and making your skin extra smoothe.

This primer is not just great for keeping your make-up stay on but it has a lot of skin benefits as well. It has licorice root in it, which is supposed to be really good for dry/cracked skin, or skin that has a lot of redness, or skin that gets irritated easily. So it actually helps heal the skin. It's also really good for those with Eczema. So if you are someone who has eczema, and your having a hard time finding a primer, this one will be perfect. Anything with licorice root is awesome for your skin because it's so soothing.

Another ingredient in it that I thought was cool, is that it has caffeine in it. My skin NEEDS this pick me up in the morning. It's basically a shot of espresso for your face. It wakes it up, plumps it, brightens, firms, and makes it look more youthful and revitalized. HUGE FAN OF THAT.

And lastly, i've tried it with basically every type of foundation. It works amazingly for liquids, pressed powders, and loose powders. I've been using this primer for almost 3 weeks, and I love it. I definitely recommend it.

NOW FOR THE LIP PRIMER.

It is a light beige color, with a clear circle in the middle.(Sorry for the bad pic! It didn't look so bright on my camera! :(    )

Lip Magnet Primer-
This one retails for 15.00 and again, you can get it on the pop beauty website or at Ulta. I have never used a lip primer before, so I don't really have anything to compare it with, so  bare with me!

One thing I did like about it though is that it's really nourishing and makes your lips superrrrrrrrr soft, and that's probably because it has vitamins A&E in it. The only other ingredient that I recognized was Omega oils, and that is supposed to be good for plumping the lips. WHICH I honestly didn't see a huge difference. It really didn't make mine look that much fuller. So it wasn't a drastic difference for me. But it does work well for filling in those lines in your lips, or if they are cracked, it will fill that in as well.

It does say it's supposed to prevent feathering in lipsticks and glosses, and plump the lips. Like I said..didn't really plump mine, but it did help with preventing my lipstick from getting feathered or weird looking through out the day. It did make it last a little bit longer, then it would without a primer as well.

Something I disliked though, is the smell. IT SMELLS TERRIBLE. Once you put a gloss or lipstick over, it's fine and you can't smell it anymore. But first applying it, it's horrible.

I like this product, but i'm not CRAZY about it like I am the face primer. As soon as that runs out, I am totallllllly getting another. But I didn't like this enough to buy it again, and I am an unsure if I would recommend it. Maybe because it is my first lip primer, so I don't have anything to compare it too. But i'm not disappointed with it. I'm just not in love.

Anyways, I hope you all enjoyed this review! PLEASE let me know if you have tried this brand, and your opinions on it! Also U.K people, is this a big brand where you live? I'm curious.

I hope you all are having a wonderful day:)

Love,
Me!

May Favorites!

Pur Minerals 4-1 Pressed Powder Foundation- I have really been liking this stuff! I am never to crazy about pressed powders, but this is probably my favorite pressed foundation of all time. It has a medium-full coverage, covers blemishes/redness without a problem, and it has skin care ingredients in it, which is supposed to help maintain oilyness through out the day, which I believe it does, since I have really oily skin, and haven't had an issue with this. It feels really light on the skin, which is a plus. The only thing I don't like is the chisel brush you are supposed to use with it from Pur Minerals. It sucks. Do yourself a favor, and just use a kabuki brush it.

Urban Decay Big Fatty Mascara- This one, I won't spend forever going on about because I talked about it alot in my last post, it was included in my Ulta Haul. But to sum it up, it's a great mascara. AMAZING for holding a curl, especially in already long/heavy lashes. It has jojoba oil in it to moisturize your lashes, the formula is nice and consistent, doesn't dry or flake, really lifts them and makes them look thicker, and gives a little bit of length as well. Plus I love any mascara brush that has the spiked end. It just makes it way easier to get those lashes in the inner and outer corners.

Smashbox Lip Enhancing Lipgloss in "35MM"- This was also in my Ulta haul from last posts, so I won't talk to much about this one either. Basically, I just love the color. I own nothing like it, I think it's perfect for summer, it's long lasting, and looks good with just about anything. I will post a swatch at the end of this post:)

"Sweet Good Morning Kiss!" by POP beauty- This brand is new to me, and I got sent a couple things to review by them, which is coming up soon! But this one I actually bought, because I loved the other products so much. It's a lip exfoliator, and it has natural sugar grains in it. It has a sponge applicator, and when you twist the bottom of the wand, the product comes out of an opening in the sponge. It feels AMAZING on your lips, and has made a huge difference in mine. It sells for ab out 14.00, but I think you can find it for a little cheaper on amazon. I've really been liking wearing this alone, it leaves a nice shiny gloss looking effect on your lips.

"Girl Meets Pearl" liquid highlighter by Benefit-
I got the mini of this for 8.00 just to try out, and I really do like it. It's a bright pearl color, that I put at the top of my cheeks, and just brightens everything up. Again, i'll swatch it at the end:)

Smashbox Cream Shadow in "Quartz"- This month I discovered Smashbox's Limitless 15 hour Wear Cream Shadows, and the one I bought is called Quartz. They are 19.00 each, and kind of my new best friend. It works great, as a base, and a shadow to wear alone. If I didn't really feel like spending to much time on my eye make up, I would just prime them, put this on alone, and add some eyeliner, voila. Makes for a nice neutral/natural looking eye. This color goes with EVERYTHING. I've used it with both neutrals and brights. It blends easily, and I haven't worn them for 15 hours, but i've worn it for about 10 and I had absolutley no creasing and it stayed vibrant all day, and did not smudge or slide around my eye. These are in NO WAY a dupe for the maybelline color tattoo ones. Yes they are cheaper, and easier to get, but these ones are much better in my opinion, and nothing alike, not even the formulas are similar in any way.

Stila blush in "Seashell" and highlight in "Pacific Coast Highway"- This palette was limited edition last year in Stila's beach collection so i'm not sure if you can still find it. I love the palette, the eyeshadows are gorgeous, but this month I have just been loving the blush and highlighter. I kept telling myself, I would do something with the shadows for a FOTD but I never did. Anyways, the blush is gorgeous! It's been my go-to basically every day this month. It's a pretty, light "peachy pink" with very subtle shimmer in it. Pacific Coast Highway is a light peach, and goes perfectly with Seashell:)

Not the best swatches, sorry! Bad lighting, and not so great camera.
Left-35 MM, Middle- Quartz, Right-Girl Meets Pearl

Thanks for reading yall!
I'd love to hear some of your favorites, so don't forget to comment!

Have a great dayyyyyyyyy:)

Small Ulta Haul! Urban Decay, Smashbox, and NYX

Hey ladies! As promised here is my Ulta Haul:) I didn't get as much as I would have liked but I did get a few really good products.

Urban Decay single eyeshadows in "Flash" and "Mushroom" 19.00$

Flash is a bright purple. Rich in pigment, looks gorgeous with brown eyes, and not over glittery like most UD shadows. I have been pairing it with Grifter to give it a more intense look. FOTD coming soon!

Mushroom is a really pretty Gunmetal/ Taupe color with specks of silver shimmer in it. It blends out really easily. I'm still playing around with this one, and to which look and colors I like best with it.

But I am LOVING Urban Decays new formula they are using in their eyeshadows. They have been pretty much revamping everything, and i'm a huge fan. They feel a lot smoother, do not have as much fall out, the pigment is still awesome, and they have a great satin. I also feel like they are a little bit easier to blend, but that's just my opinion! Let me know what you think!

Big Fatty Mascara
This mascara is another one of their cosmetics Urban Decay has re-formulated. I have never tried the original Big Fatty, so I don't really have much to compare it to, although I do like it better then their Super Curling Mascara and the Cannon Ball one as well..and I really like them! Ulta still has the original Big Fatty on display, so I did a brush comparison and I definitely like the newer version better. It is smaller, it has a spiked end so you can really get those inner and outer lashes. The bristles on it make it easy for the lashes to separate and fan out. As far as texture, it's really nice. It has jojoba oil in it to help moisturize the lashes which I LOVE. A big fear I have with mascaras, is it drying out my lashes and making them brittle. I do not see this happening with this mascara. It's very, very moisturizing so that is a huge plus in my book. How does it perform? It gives a little length to your lashes but if anything it makes them appear thicker, hold a curl longer, and it makes it look like I have double the amount of eyelashes.

Next I got:

The Smashbox Try it kit:

It features the

photo finish primer- I haven't tried this one enough to where I can give a true opinion. I will though!

eye pencil in onyx- I absolutely love this eyeliner! It goes on smooth, it did not smudge, the pigment was great, and it didn't irritate or itch my eyes.
Would I buy more of these eyeliners?
YES!

hyperlash mascara- great for seperating and lifting the lashes. VERY lengthening.
Would I buy the full size?
No. My eyelashes are extremely long. I go for mascaras more for the look of fuller/thicker lashes, and to seperate. If you want some lashes, this might be a good try for you though!

photo finish eye primer- One of my favorite eye primers! I had actually previously owned a full size of this, and ran out a while ago, so I was happy to get it in this kit. It does everything a primer should do, it prevents the shadows from creasing, keeps them vibrant all day, and I like the consistency of it. It reminds me of the lorac eye primer, if you have ever tried that one!

Would I buy the full size?
Yes. Although it dries a little quicker then some other primers, I can't find anything else wrong with it, and i'm happy with the outcome.

lipgloss in "Illume"-
These lipglosses are from the "Lip Enhancing" line, which I have a few of, and I love them. It's a nice sheer color, with subtle gold flecks. It's to TOO sticky, and it does have a light vanilla scent to it.

L- Onyx liner(love love love it) and Illume.

Would I buy the full size?
Yes! It's a great every day color, and I feel like I will get a lot of use out of it.

In addition to the kit, from Smashbox I also got a lipgloss from the same line, in the color "35MM"
I couldn't help it! It was literally calling to me. I don't have any lip products in this color, and although it's different for me, I really like it. It's a beautiful bronzey rose color, with the tiniest little sparkles in it that you can't even feel on your lips. I totally forgot to swatch this, but it will be in my favorites that I am posting very soon:)

The last item I picked up was from NYX. It was one of their "Slide on, Glide on" liners, in the color dark brown, and this is something I have heard bloggers and youtubers rave about..womp womp womp. Maybe I got a bad liner? I'm not sure. But it made my eyes beat red, itch like crazy, and totally irritated them. Which sucks! I put it on my hand next to UD's "Demolition" and it was a dupe. The UD one, actually rubbed off my hand first.

Have you tried the NYX eyeliners? What did you think?

Mini drugstore haul! and I am BACK!!

Hey Lovelies! Good grief. I've been M.I.A for 2 weeks, and I apologize. I was stressed out from work, and had some personal issues I was going through with myself, so anytime I had off from work, I just needed to clear my head and relax. (My husband&I are fine, it had nothing to do with him!) I was just a little stressed out and feeling down, but I am back! And I have a drugstore haul:)

UP&UP Kabuki Brush-
I haven't used a pressed powder in forever, and recently purchased one to try out. I wanted to apply it with a kabuki brush beings I was just using it to se liquid foundation in my T-zone. Beings it's not an every day brush I use, I didn't want to spend a ton of money on it. So while I was at Target in of course the make-up section, I was on the hunt for one. I have felt the ELF one before..didn't like how it felt. It felt a little flimsy. My intentions were to actually get the eco-tools one or the real-techniques one..felt the Real Techniques one..didn't like that either, and they were sold out of the eco-tools one. I have not ever tried anything from UP&UP.. but i'm glad I decided to pick this one! I absolutley love it. It's amazing. I think it was only around 4-5$ and it is SO soft. The bristles are extremely full and dense. I've only had it for a week but it hasn't shed yet. I def. suggest checking it out!

E.L.F eyeshadow brush $3.00-

I have tried blushes from e.l.f but thats it. Researching some of their products, this seemed to be really popular. A lot of people really seem to love their eyeshadow brushes. I just got one, to test it out, because like I said above I have felt their kabuki brush, and also their powder brush..was not a fan. I know they are generally either 1 or 2 dollars, so what can you expect. Some products are gunna be great, some are not. Anyways, i'm a fan of the brush. I have a ton of eyeshadow brushes, but I have been using this one since I got it, because 1. Its newest to me and 2. It's a pretty good brush. Nothing amazing, but it does the job and it's inexpensive. I use it to pack shadow on my lid, and overall I am pretty happy with it. I would suggest it, and definetley to those who are just starting out or to those who don't want to spend a fortune on brushes and still get good results!

E.L.F brow gel and clear mascara duo 3-4$

Also curious to other elf products besides the blushes I have used I picked up this as well. I generally just use a cheap clear mascara anyways to set my brows, so I figured I had nothing to lose! At first I didn't like it. I put the same amount i've always used with any other brow gel on, and my eyebrows felt dry and crunchy. You could also tell I had something on them. Not a fan of that. I stopped using it for a couple days and picked it up again to try. I used a lighter hand and voila. I like it now. So be careful with this if you try it! Use a very light hand, it does not take much. I use both sides just for brows.

E.L.F under eye concealer and highligher duo 3-4$
I'm not crazy about the highlighter part. You can't tell its even on, so I dislike that end of the product. The concealer side on the other hand is great! I use it for my under eyes only. I did however, try it on some blemishes on my face, and it didn't work. The coverage is a little to light for that, and the formula is a little watery. But for my horrible dark circles, it worked great. The only other thing I dislike is, it dries REALLY fast. If you wait 5 seconds to long, it's very hard to blend out. But overall, good product. Good for brightening up your eyes and making you look more awake.

L-Concealer in Fair, R-Highlighter

Milani Liquifeye Eye Liner $5-6

My first milani eye liner from this line! I've heard roaring great reviews, so when I spotted it, I snatched it up right away. I wasn't dissappointed, but I don't agree with all the hype. The colors are gorgeous, and the pigment is AWESOME, but the staying power is just okay. After just like 2 or 3 hours, I could see I needed to re-apply it..I don't have time during the day to do that. In my purse eyeliner, is not one of the make-up items I bring with me to re-apply, just because..well, the eyeliner I generally wear, I don't have to do that. I will still probably use it, but not for a day at work when I really just don't have time to keep doing touch-ups. Although, I still do want to try a couple more colors. Maybe it was just the color. Maybe it was just a bad batch? I have no clue.

Swatch-

What do you think of these items if you have tried them? Especially the Milani liner. Do you have the same problem?

Thanks for reading you guys!!:) I am going shopping at Ulta today, so I will have another haul up in a couple days. YAY for shopping!
