Facial cleanser review!

Purity Made Simple One Step Facial Cleanser by Philosophy
Price: $20.00 for 8oz
You can purchase Philosophy products at both Ulta and Sephora.
MY SKIN TYPE: Oily

Hey guys! I thought I would do a review for you today on one of the products I purchased in a haul a couple weeks ago. It's the Purity Made Simple cleanser from Philosophy, and I've been using it for a little over a month. (My haul post went up late!)

What it is supposed to do is 1. Remove make-up 2. Cleanse your face& deep clean pores. and 3. Tone your face as well.

DOES IT ACTUALLY REMOVE THE MAKE UP?

Yes! HOWEVER, I will say, I always take my eye make up off with a separate make up remover. I feel like if I were to do it all

together, I would just be dragging eye shadow, liner, mascara, etc over other parts of my face which I don't want to do. For

reviews sake, I did try it with eye make up and it worked great. It got eyeshadow, eyeliner, liquid liner, and mascara off completely.

Water proof mascara--not so much. It came off a little but I still had to use something else.

The reason it can remove make up so well, is because of the ingredient in it called sodium tri sulfatdeceth. Which is used in most

removers to dissolve make up.

It is PH balanced, so that's why they claim you don't have to tone afterwards, but I personally love the feel of a toner, so I do so.

Some other ingredients it is made with is Meadowfoam, which is supposed to help hydrate the skin so you do not get that "tight"

after feeling in your skin. (Which I don't! HOORAY!) and it contains infusions of sage, chamomile, and carrot.

It has 12 natural oils in it, to help hydrate. I think they did this so it balances out some of the sulfates contained in this product,

beings sulfates tend to dry your skin out, so it is not TO moisturizing, but they def. balance out and just leave your face feeling

REALLY, REALLY clean and smooth, and not tight, dry, stripped, etc.

I've also noticed after I am done washing my face, it has a little bit of a glow to it, and it makes my skin tone look more even.

TEXTURE AND SMELL:

The texture is pretty "liquidy" and has a small lather to it. It feels really soft and refreshing, and you only need a small amount.

The smell is SO GOOD, this is something i've heard of people loving or hating about it though. It's not overwhelming it's pretty

subtle in my opinion but the smell is just very natural and "spa" like.

So, so far I am really loving this cleanser. I haven't had any bad reactions to it, and i've noticed any break outs I had, start to clear

up. It does AWESOME at cleaning your face, and i'm really enjoying it! I think I found my new go-to cleanser. :)

Have you tried this product? What do you think of it? :)

Second part of my Haul! Lipstick swatches&Nail Polish

A couple days ago, I posted my Ulta Haul where I got some products from Too Faced, Bare Minerals, and Philosophy. I also went next door to Target and got just a couple things. So here is what I picked up!

Two nail polishes from Wet N Wild. The first one is "Party of 5 Glitters" and the second is "Sunny Side Up."

They are both gorgeous and go on unbelievably smooth and opaque. I was impressed!

I also picked up 2 Revlon lipsticks, that were on clearance for 4.00 each. The colors I got are "Lilac Champagne" and "Peach Silk"

Here are my swatches!

Lilac Champagne on the left- This color is no where near Lilac OR a champagne color. But it is an AMAZING hot pink. It is matte, and the color pay off is insane.

Peach Silk on the right- Matte, bright orange/coral.

These are both from their discontinued Moon Drops collection, but you can still get them online if you look:)
I hope you guys are having an awesome day!

Ulta Haul!

Sorry in advance for the not-so great pictures! As soon as I upload them onto blogger they get all blurry. Hopefully I can figure it out soon.

Bare Minerals "Wander Lust" Beach Collection $39.00 Available at Ulta
kit contains:
Travel make-up bag

All over Face color in "Chic Radiance" -
I've been using this as a setting powder, and have used it on its own. It's so so pretty! Gives a very nice natural glow to your skin and enhances your complexion. Gives the perfect "sun kissed" look.

Eyeshadow in "Cabana" - Light brown. Great for accenting the outer v and also looks very pretty just on its own! Subtle shimmers and def. has that "summer glow" look to it.

Eyeshadow in "Tidal Wave" -
Very pretty light green with flecks of gold. It kind of reminds me of a mermaid! I think this color would look especially gorgeous on green eyes.

Waterproof eyeliner in "9PM"-
Chocolate brown color, pigment is good, doesn't irritate my eyes.

Natural lipgloss in "Iced Champagne" - This color is GORGEOUS! It is a shimmering nude beige gloss, with a nice creamy texture. Looks beautiful on every skin tone and is long lasting.

***I will be doing a FOTD using EVERYTHING from this kit, and I will include swatches of the shadows. :)***

Separate from this kit from Bare Minerals I also purchased:

Mineral Veil- I've been through about 4 of these. It is my every day setting powder. It's translucent, light, works for every skin tone, and is AMAZING. I will forever be using this and it's awesome for oil control.

Too Faced "Primed Poreless Pure" for Sensitive Skin- Oil free and water based, it's Too Faced newest primer. I've only tried it twice so far, so I can't give a true opinion on it. It feels just like all their other primers though. It is that silicone/gel texture. It's much lighter then the original primed poreless and this one is supposed to be much better for those with oily/acne prone skin..aka me! I will probably do a review on it and also the free gifts I received with it. This primer was about 30.00

Too Faced Free Gifts

Travel sizes of Too Faced Shadow Insurance in "Candlelight" and a travel of their "Beauty Balm"

Philosophy's "Purity Made Simple" facial cleanser 20.00- I've only been using it for a little over a week, so I need more time with this one. Most def. doing a review on it though. I am really liking it so far!
I will post the second half of my haul soon! I went over to Target and picked up a couple things from Wet N Wild and Revlon

My late June Empties!

Hey y'all!
I feel like it's been forever..AGAIN!!
My husband and I, just last week made the longggg drive to move from Texas to Florida, so i've been a little occupied with that, and we still haven't got our internet set up. *dies*
But that will be fixed in a couple days:)

I didn't want to make a big, long post for I am sitting a Starbucks right now using their wi-fi so I figured I would post products I have completely used up in the month of June.

*Purity Made Simple Facial Cleansing Cloths by Philosophy
- At first, I didn't like these wipes. I believe I already have mentioned them in 2 posts, so i'll make this short. My first 2-3 times using them, they burned my face and made it slightly red. Not so appealing, eh? But the more I used them, that went away, and I actually noticed break outs clearing up, and my face appearing healthier looking and just a lot brighter and clearer. These babies are 20$ so, it's hard to justify buying 20$ face wipes in my opinion. The reason I got them in the first place is because they were on sale for half off, at 10.00, so I figured why not! They are truly awesome. But are they a "must have"..? I'm not sure. I'm going to buy some different wipes and see if there is a drastic difference in my skin. If you want to spoil yourself a bit, definitely give these a try:) You can get them at Sephora and Ulta.

St. Ives Apricot Scrub-
I'm in LOVE with this stuff. I use it about 2 or 3 times a week, depending on my skin really. It's Oil-Free, it has no parabens, and it is supposed to clear up break outs, without over drying. This is my first used up one. It lasts a pretty long time as well, I bought this in the beginning of February, and I just ran out a couple days ago. I would recommend this to EVERYBODY. I went through a phase where my acne, got so bad, I was buying facial products from 10$-50$, getting facials, not wearing make up, etc. I tried everything. Someone recommended this to me and I was really doubtful it would work because it was only 3$ but I tried anyways, and I am so so happy I did. I will be re-buying this like..tomorrow. Lol. It is now a staple in my facial regimen.
*Its A 10 Miracle Leave- In- This is one of those things where when you run out of them, and you feel a little sad inside. I use this every single day on my hair. It is WONDERFUL and my husband is crazy about the way it makes my hair smell. He loves it, so that is a huge plus in my book as well :P I use it after every time I wash my hair. This size retails for about 18.00, and you can get it at Ulta, and I know some salons sell it. I think i'm actually going to do a separate review on it.

That Gal Brightening Face Primer by Benefit-Confession..I am a primer whore. I don't know what it is about face primers, that I seem to buy them so frequently, but I..have..a TON. It's scary. Little personal fact about this primer though, is that I used it so much, that when I could tell it was getting more towards running out..I stopped using it! I was saving it for a special occasion, that was like a month away..and then forgot about it. So that didn't work out. But I finished it this month, and of course, I still really liked it. It's a light pink color, and it smells so good. It smells like strawberries and cream. And although, it is an AWESOME primer and I love it dearly..if you are looking for a legit "Brightening" primer..I would pass. I didn't really see it as brightening. But I would still re-purchase it, because it is a great face primer. It's really lightweight, non-greasy, and it holds the foundation on your face perfect.

*Bare Minerals Original Mineral Veil-
I re purchase it, every time i'm out. I always get the original because it doesn't have the shimmer in it, like the other mineral veils do by Bare Escentuals. It is a really nice soft texture, you only need a little bit. To much will make your face look white, and washed out. It's translucent..you are not supposed to see it! Lol But yeah, it has been my favorite finishing powder for years, and if during the day I am feeling oily, I sweep some of this over my face, and voila. It mattifies it instantly, and the shine is gone.

*Too Faced Lash Injection Mascara- I just got the mini of this one on a whim at Ulta a few months ago. They always have the little trial size things up front, I can't resist! This mascara is okay. Not really a lengthening mascara, which I like. But it is absolutely a thickening mascara. If you already have long lashes, and just want them to be lifted and appear thicker, this is a great one for that. However..It's a really dry formula. BUT it doesn't flake or clump. Personally, I still can't get over it the dryness, so though I used it up, I will not be re-purchasing it. I was not a fan of the brush either. It's massive and kind of flimsy.
