Pop Beauty Face Magnet and Lip Magnet Primer Reviews!

POP Beauty was kind enough to give me a couple of their products to try out, one being the Face Magnet Primer and the other being the Lip Magnet Lip Primer. First of all they sent them in the cutest POP Beauty bag.

First i'll start off with the--
Face Magnet Face Primer- This is hands down one of my favorite primers ever. My "Holy Grail" Primer is the Napoleon Perdis Auto-Pilot...but it's 50$. So I can't always just run to the store and grab it when I run out.

This primer is sold at Ulta, and as far as I can tell..I think it's just ULTA that carries it in the states, I don't believe Sephora does, but I could be wrong. I'm pretty sure, this line is based out the U.K. But this primer is just as good, if not, better then my Napoleon Perdis one and the price is light years better. It's 26.00, which is not bad at all for a high end primer. I know the Smashbox, Too faced, and I think Stila are around 35.

Pop Beauty says that this primer is supposed to "work as a magnet to lock in your face make-up all day," and I have to agree. It really works wonderfully at keeping your make up in place, and looking bright and beautiful all day, making your make up and skin look FLAWLESS.

I like this primers texture as well. I'm not a huge fan of your average silicone based primer. I don't "hate" them, but I prefer more of a lotion feel which this one and the Napoleon Perdis both are. It's thicker, but it's still light, and it soaks into your skin really quickly. It's not sticky, or something that will weigh you down and feel heavy on your face. I have really oily skin, so it didn't make me more oily, or shiny, or anything like that. It's water based and oil-free, and it does help out with oil-control. It also helps with redness, minimizing pores, and making your skin extra smoothe.

This primer is not just great for keeping your make-up stay on but it has a lot of skin benefits as well. It has licorice root in it, which is supposed to be really good for dry/cracked skin, or skin that has a lot of redness, or skin that gets irritated easily. So it actually helps heal the skin. It's also really good for those with Eczema. So if you are someone who has eczema, and your having a hard time finding a primer, this one will be perfect. Anything with licorice root is awesome for your skin because it's so soothing.

Another ingredient in it that I thought was cool, is that it has caffeine in it. My skin NEEDS this pick me up in the morning. It's basically a shot of espresso for your face. It wakes it up, plumps it, brightens, firms, and makes it look more youthful and revitalized. HUGE FAN OF THAT.

And lastly, i've tried it with basically every type of foundation. It works amazingly for liquids, pressed powders, and loose powders. I've been using this primer for almost 3 weeks, and I love it. I definitely recommend it.

NOW FOR THE LIP PRIMER.

It is a light beige color, with a clear circle in the middle.(Sorry for the bad pic! It didn't look so bright on my camera! :(    )

Lip Magnet Primer-
This one retails for 15.00 and again, you can get it on the pop beauty website or at Ulta. I have never used a lip primer before, so I don't really have anything to compare it with, so  bare with me!

One thing I did like about it though is that it's really nourishing and makes your lips superrrrrrrrr soft, and that's probably because it has vitamins A&E in it. The only other ingredient that I recognized was Omega oils, and that is supposed to be good for plumping the lips. WHICH I honestly didn't see a huge difference. It really didn't make mine look that much fuller. So it wasn't a drastic difference for me. But it does work well for filling in those lines in your lips, or if they are cracked, it will fill that in as well.

It does say it's supposed to prevent feathering in lipsticks and glosses, and plump the lips. Like I said..didn't really plump mine, but it did help with preventing my lipstick from getting feathered or weird looking through out the day. It did make it last a little bit longer, then it would without a primer as well.

Something I disliked though, is the smell. IT SMELLS TERRIBLE. Once you put a gloss or lipstick over, it's fine and you can't smell it anymore. But first applying it, it's horrible.

I like this product, but i'm not CRAZY about it like I am the face primer. As soon as that runs out, I am totallllllly getting another. But I didn't like this enough to buy it again, and I am an unsure if I would recommend it. Maybe because it is my first lip primer, so I don't have anything to compare it too. But i'm not disappointed with it. I'm just not in love.

Anyways, I hope you all enjoyed this review! PLEASE let me know if you have tried this brand, and your opinions on it! Also U.K people, is this a big brand where you live? I'm curious.

I hope you all are having a wonderful day:)

Love,
Me!

Too Faced "Natural At Night!" and FOTD

The colors featured in this palette are:
Full Moon: Shimmery champagne color.
Night Cap: Light brown with a satin finish.
Cocoa Star: Dark brown. Matte.
Night Light: Shimmery, light chocolate brown.
After Hours: Shimmery taupe.
Eclipse: Deep burgandy.
Spotlight: Matte. Beige, but it has yellow undertones.
Moon Stone: Deep green with golden shimmer.
Night fever: Black with green under tones.
The packaging is the same concept as the majority of the Too Faced Palettes. It opens up, has 3 cards in it, to demonstrate how to do 3 looks using the styles Night, Classic, and a Fashion eye. It has the magnetic in it to keep it closed also like the others, and 9 colors. 7 of them being shimmers and 3 of them being matte. It retails for 37$ at Ulta and Sephora and is one of their newer palettes. It's very purse friendly considering, the palettes are a lot more sleek and slim, from how they used to be. They were bulky little suckers! So personally, i'm glad they took out the little drawer with the brush. Wasn't a fan of that.

To create this eye look I used:
Too Faced Shadow Insurance
NYX jumbo pencil in "Milk" for the Inner corners.
The shadow "Night light" on the inner 3rd of my eye.
"Moon Stone" on the lid
"Night Fever" in the outer V and crease.
Lorac Pro Liner in Black to darken my lash line.
Too Faced Metallic Eye Liner in "Black Beauty" on my waterline, but I didn't bring it all the way out.

*I love Too Faced palettes. They haven't yet disappointed me, and for the quality they give, I don't mind spending the 37$ on them. Even though the colors are shimmery, I haven't had a problem at all with any fall out, as long as i'm doing the patting motion.
*The color pay off is amazing. They don't fade AT ALL, they stay beautiful and vibrant, so being highly pigmented and crease resistant is a big plus for me.
*They blend easily, have a gorgeous, silky texture allowing it to apply nice and smooth.
*And even though it says Natural at Night, you can easily modify the colors to make a pretty and wearable day time look.

My favorite colors out of this palette are Full Moon, Eclipse, and Moonstone.

I definitely going to do at least one more FOTD with this, maybe more. I want to use the color Eclipse. In my opinion eclipse is a really good dupe for MAC's eyeshadow "Sable."

Overall, I would recommend it.

I hope you ladies are having a wonderful day! For once, it is not absurdly hot in Texas, and it feels awesome outside:) Perfect Spring weather!

Haul Time!

I meant to get this up way earlier, but..I was a slave this week at work.  Here is some of my things I got at Ulta last week!

First up..Nail polish!

"Make Some Noise" from the Electro Pop collection by China Glaze.
"Fast Track" by the Hunger Games collection
"Riveting" also from the Hunger Games collection.
8.00 Each

I did a NOTD a few days ago on Riveting(not the best, sorry) and the other two will be up shortly! I actually have Fast Track on my nails right now, so maybe i'll edit this post!

I also picked up some of Ulta's single eyeshadows. 3 of them being "new shades."
I haven't tried this out yet, so I can't give my true thoughts on them. I did swatch them though, and they all have beautiful pigmentation!

"Rockstar" and "Flutter"

"Dusk" and "Sapphire"
7.00 Each

Bare Minerals single eyeshadow in "Soul Sister"
Highly pigmented eyeshadows! Seriously. With beautiful natural under tones, and the colors are true to color. I have a million of these, and I do recommend them. I believe they are $13 each.

EOS lip balm in "Sweet Mint" 3.49
These are some of my favorite lip balms! The packaging is cute, and they work wonders for dry lips. They are always my go-to right before I apply my lipgloss/stick. I have a few of them, but this one is by far my favorite! The others I have are pretty fruity, and they do smell awesome, but they are kind of just plain to put on the lips. This one gives a soft tingle, and feels very refreshing.

My next one, I forgot to take a single picture in the packaging, LOL. But is called the Urban Decay StarLight Glitter Body Art. You can see it in the picture I posted of the entire haul. It came with 5 gorgeous glitters, a glitter adhesive, and brush to apply. It says "Body Art" and it even comes with stencils to do on yourself...but they are huge! They are easily, the size of my palm. I do not think I will be using them. I got them do on my eyes of course:) My name on here is not a-touch of glitter for nothing!
I LOVE GLITTER. And anything sparkly. Now the pictures-

They come on clear containers with the Urban Decay logo on top.

None of them have names. The first one is a black glitter, the second gold, and the third is a cool looking teal color.

The last two are a magenta, and a navy blue.

This is the brush and adhesive that came with it. I have not used the brush. I have only used one glitter so far(the black one), and I applied eyeshadow first, then the adhesive(goes on clear), and applied the glitter with a flat shader brush from Sigma. Surprisingly..NO FALL OUT! This was not messy at all, and the adhesive made it stay in place the whole night!

This kit was only 10.00! You can still probably get it on the "Cleareance" section of the Urban Decay site:)

With my purchase of the UD I was able to get a "gift with purchase" for free!

I was able to pick between the "Razor Sharp" finishing powder and the De Slick..I picked the De Slick! I have the All Nighter setting spray and adore it. My face can get pretty oily, and i've wanted to try this for a while. Of course, my face LATELY hasnt been, so I havent got to try it yet, but when I do, I will most likely do a review on it:) As well as a FOTD in the future with the glitters!

Lastly, I got one of Lorac's kits, called "Lashes, Lustre, Liner." With just that! It came with a full size mascara, liquid liner, and Lorac's 3d Liquid Lustre Drops, all for just 29$..thats like the price of the mascara alone?! Lol. Lorac can be bought at Sephora and Ulta. It's a very down played brand. I don't feel like it gets enough recognition. Everything I've ever tried from them I have LOVED. Eyeshadows/Blushes..crazy pigmented. Anyways..pictures!-

Front of The Line Pro Liner.

The tip of this brush is so so easy and precise to work with. If you have a hard time applying liquid liner, this is a great one for starters just because of the brush. It's flexible, and makes it easy to create straight lines, plus it dries extremley fast. It's very "pen like." It is water proof, but comes off quite fast with make-up remover. I love, love this product! Give it a try if you are in the marker for a new liquid liner:)

Lorac Multiplex 3D Lashes

Let me start off by saying, I have the most stubborn lashes ever. They are extremely long, heavy, and hard to curl. Although they are thin. So typically I do not look for lengthening mascaras, more-so mascaras that will lift, separate, and make my lashes look fuller.

Although this IS a lengthening mascara, I did not mind! It gave my lashes even more length, but what's so great about it is the comb. It's curved as you can see in the picture. The key is to look up, align the curved side along your eye, and apply it that way. I got everything I wanted in a mascara. Awesome at seperating and lifting, and gave me some length. The formula is great too. It's not to wet, but not to try. It hasnt clumped up on me, or flaked at all, nor have I had a problem with it smudging.

Lorac 3D Liquid Lustre

It's base is a pearl white, and the sparkles in it are a white gold. You can use this as a highlight, or for an eye look. I have used this a few times since I got it, and 1. I got SO many compliments. 2. I am definitely doing a FOTD next time it's on. It has an eye dropper applicator, and it's staying power is amazing. It dries super fast, and you can use it for multiple uses. I know MAC has something similiar, that i've tried before, but it is not one of their best products.  This beats it by FAR. Unicorn blood. That is the best way to describe it.

Also in the picture with everything in it you can see the free gift, I got also with the purchase, and it is Loracs Tantalizer. I have not used it yet, but I am a BIG FAN of self-tanners. So I got this just in time, it's almost summer, and I will be trying it out very soon, for my skin does not like to tan naturally:)

Too faced Natural Eye Palette!

I absolutley love Too Faced, and pretty much everything I have tried from them. This palette is not by any means new! I got it last summer, but it is one of those things, where I got it..I love it, I used it constantly then it kind of got lost in my make up drawer, and I didn't use it for a while. But its been back in my life for a solid 2 months, and I am just as impressed with the colors as I was when I first saw it.
The first thing I love about it is the packaging. Its not bulky like the old too faced palettes used to be, It has an awesome color selection, and they all flow together so well, yet you can make completely different looks with them, and the texture is really nice.

It comes with 3 cards, that give you a thorough description on the 3 looks you can do with the palette. The first row is Classic, the second is Day which is slightly more dramatic, and the third is Fashion, which is the most dramatic. I also think its good how they threw a few matte colors in there! The colors are easy to blend.
In this post I will show you my two favorite looks I do with this palette.

This is the "Classic" look with the matte colors, its the first row, and I do use this according to how they want you to use it. They just look really nice together, it's subtle, it's natural, and although they are matte, they blend very easily.

I use Heaven in my in corners and as a highlight, velvet revolver on my lid, and sexpresso on my outer corners and in the crease.

And finally, these are the swatches to my FAVORITE look, and the one I have been wearing nearly every single day.

I use Silk Teddy on my inner corners and my highlight, Push Up all over my lid, and Cocoa Puff in my crease and on the inner corners.
